Privacy Notice

This notice describes what this website actually does. The firm named in the footer of every page is responsible for this website and for the information sent through it.

## No cookies, nothing from anyone else
This website writes no cookie of any kind, so there is no cookie banner. Every file a page needs (text, images, fonts) comes from the same server that serves the page. There is no advertising or tracking pixel, no social media widget and no embedded map. The "Open in Maps" link on the contact page takes you to Google Maps only if you click it.

## Visitor statistics
The site counts page views with its own software, on its own server, without cookies. For each visit it records the page, the website you came from (its domain only), the page language, the width of your screen and your network address with its last part removed, so that it no longer points at a single connection. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is recorded. These records are deleted automatically after 180 days. They are used only to understand which pages are useful.

## The contact form
It asks for your name, your email address, a phone number if you choose to give one, the practice area and your message. Alongside it the site records the page language, your shortened network address, the identification string your browser sends and the page you came from. Please keep the details of your case out of the form: send us enough to call you back. The rest belongs in the consultation.

## Booking a consultation
A booking records your name, your email address, a phone number if you give one, the practice area, how you would like to meet, any note you add, and the day and time you chose. Your email address is required because it is where we send the confirmation, a reminder the day before, and a private link with which you can reschedule or cancel. That link works only for your booking and stops working once the appointment has passed.

## Documents
The public website does not accept documents. If we ask you for documents after you have contacted us, we send you a private upload link that works only for a limited time. Files sent through it are stored encrypted on the firm's server, outside the part of the server the web can reach, and can be opened only by the firm through its password- and two-factor-protected admin panel.

## Where it goes
Messages and bookings are saved in a database on the same server as the website, outside the area the web can reach, and a notification is emailed to the office. Email is not encrypted from end to end and travels through the provider that carries the office mail.

## How long it is kept
Messages that do not become a client matter are deleted automatically after three years. Booking records follow the same rule. The site's activity log, which records what was done in the admin panel, is deleted after one year. A short record of network addresses used to stop the forms being flooded is cleared within hours.

## Your choices
You can ask what the firm holds about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the office through the contact page, from the address you used, and say which of these you are asking for. Deleting removes a record from the live database; it cannot reach copies already delivered by email or backups taken before you asked, which are replaced in the normal course.

## Security
Data files sit outside the part of the server the web can reach. The admin panel requires a password and a second factor, and access is given to as few people as possible. No system is completely secure, and nothing here is a promise that this one is.

## Changes
If what the site does changes, this page changes with it. Last reviewed: 13 October 2026.
